The pre-reformulation NOUNOU system — the version that uses Wheat Proteins and Keratin as its primary actives. The Wheat Proteins penetrate the hair shaft to reinforce the internal structure of processed or brittle hair; Active Keratin smooths the cuticle and locks in moisture with each wash. Scent: a rich, warm fragrance with cream and soft floral notes — the NOUNOU scent that long-term clients will immediately recognise.
This is the formulation clients who have been on NOUNOU for years know and use. It is being phased out as Davines transitions the full Essential Haircare range to the Essentials 2.0 programme with Slow Food Presidium ingredient sourcing. Once this stock is gone, it will not be restocked — the new formulation is the permanent replacement. Fewer than 50 units remaining.

New Essentials 2.0 Formulation — Current Formula
Variant: New Formulation with PUMPS
The current NOUNOU formula, updated as part of Davines' Essentials 2.0 reformulation programme. The hero ingredient is now Torre Guaceto Fiaschetto Tomato Extract — a Slow Food Presidium ingredient sustainably extracted from the pulp of Fiaschetto tomatoes grown on Mr. Mario di Latte's farm in Serranova, Italy. The extract is rich in carbohydrates, proteins, and Vitamin C — delivering nourishing and antioxidant properties that restore the health and vitality of dry and damaged hair.
The new conditioner is a 5–10 minute formula — apply to damp hair, comb through, leave 5–10 minutes, rinse thoroughly. Scent: an invigorating blend of citrus and green tea, blossoming with jasmine and rose, with a comforting woody touch — noticeably different from the original.

Which Formulation Is Right for You?
- Choose Original Formulation if you are a long-time NOUNOU client who prefers the Wheat Protein formula and wants to stock up before it is gone. This is a final clearance — no restock.
- Choose New Formulation if you are new to NOUNOU, or if you want the current formula with Slow Food Presidium Fiaschetto Tomato Extract and Davines' updated ROC sourcing programme. This is the formula Davines is producing going forward.
What Both Formulations Share
Both the original and new NOUNOU formulas are designed for the same hair concern: processed, bleached, chemically treated, or brittle hair that needs intensive nourishment, softness, and structural repair. Both are sulphate-free, paraben-free, and vegan. Both suit medium to thick processed hair. Both are made in Italy. The difference is the hero nourishing ingredient, the conditioner scent, and the sourcing story.
How To Use

NOUNOU Shampoo (both formulations): Apply to wet hair. Gently massage from scalp through lengths and ends. Rinse. Repeat if needed.
