Yes — intense hold hairsprays do create a firmer set than flexible sprays. Headstrong is designed to hold styles in place; it's not a touchable flexible finish. Apply from 25–30cm in a single light pass rather than spraying close and heavy to minimise stiffness.
Is Headstrong the right choice for an updo that needs to last all day?
Yes — maximum hold for updos, sleek styles, and special occasion hair is exactly what Headstrong is designed for. Apply to styled hair from a distance for a final hold that lasts through movement.
Will Headstrong leave white flakes in dark hair?
No — if applied correctly. Hold 25–30cm from the hair and use a light pass. Over-spraying close to the hair is the main cause of visible residue with any hairspray.
Does Headstrong protect against humidity?
Yes — intense hold sprays provide more humidity resistance than flexible sprays. For maximum protection on very humid days or frizzy hair, use The Shield Anti-Humidity Spray as the final step before Headstrong for a layered humidity barrier.
How do I remove Headstrong residue from my hair when washing?
