No. Your shampoo, styling product, beard oil and shave cream do not have to come from the same range — and most men we look after mix them. Build the routine around the job you're trying to do, not around matching bottles.

Hold and shine are two different decisions. Matte doesn't mean strong and shine doesn't mean weak — a matte putty can be the firmest thing on the shelf, and a high-shine pomade can be flexible. Pick the look first, then the hold.

Twelve products in the catalogue are positioned by their manufacturers for facial hair. That's the list — we don't label a hair oil a beard oil because it's an oil, and we don't call every shampoo a beard wash.

When silver turns warm
Grey, white and lightened hair oxidises and picks up a yellow cast over time. A violet-pigmented shampoo counteracts it. Moda carries four products that address grey on this page: two that tone, one that blends temporarily, and one that colours properly.
Read this before you use it every day
Toning products deposit pigment. That's the whole mechanism — they are not simply a gentler shampoo. Grey, white and beard hair can take pigment differently and more readily than coloured hair does, which means over-toning is a real outcome rather than a theoretical one. How often to use it depends on the result you want and on the product's own directions, so follow those rather than a rule of thumb from the internet.

The easiest styling routine starts with the cut, texture and finish you're actually wearing. Most men leave the salon with hair that looks right and no idea how it got that way. At your next appointment, ask your stylist what they used, how much, and where it went — it's a thirty-second conversation that changes every morning after it.
Grooming questions?
No. Hair is hair — what changes the right shampoo is your scalp, your hair's condition and how often you wash, not who you are. Men's ranges exist because they're convenient and coordinated, not because male hair is chemically different. If your concern is dryness, curl, colour or damage, the right shampoo may well be one that never says men on the bottle.
Yes, and a lot of the men we look after do. Those brands make some of the best professional haircare available, and none of it stops working based on who's holding the bottle. If your main concern is curl, bleach damage, dryness or frizz, that's usually where we'd point you first.
A shampoo that suits your scalp, a conditioner, and one styling product that gives you the finish you want. That's it. Add a scalp step or a beard step only if you have something specific to solve.
Eufora's Complete Shampoo is a genuine hair-and-body wash, RICA's Hair + Beard Normalizing Shampoo covers hair and beard, and Davines' Hair, Beard & Body Wash does all three. All three are stated as multi-use by their manufacturers — we don't relabel a regular shampoo as a body wash.
DEPOT is the complete cabinet — 33 products across hair, styling, shave, beard, body and fragrance, organised as a numbered system. Eufora For Him is the efficient routine — 16 products, strong on scalp care, with a shampoo that genuinely does hair and body. DEPOT if you want everything to match; Eufora For Him if you want fewer bottles.
Both cover hair, styling, scalp, beard and shave. DEPOT is broader and includes body and fragrance; RICA is more focused and is the stronger choice for hair-and-beard crossover, since its shampoo, leave-in and silver shampoo are all made for both.
DEPOT is a full grooming system. Lock Stock & Barrel is a styling range — nine styling and finishing products plus two shampoos, and no beard, shave, body or fragrance line. If styling is the main event for you, Lock Stock is the sharper shelf.
DEPOT. It's the only range here that covers hair, styling, scalp, shave, beard, body and fragrance, and it's built so the products work together.
Lock Stock & Barrel. The hold ladder is the clearest of the four and the matte spread is the widest — from the light Pucka Grooming Creme through 85 Karats Clay to the Ruck Matte Putty.
Clay contains a mineral clay like kaolin, which gives grip and a matte or demi-matte finish. Paste and putty are thicker, usually matte, and built for texture and separation. Pomade is traditionally the shiniest — designed for slick, polished finishes. But the categories overlap, which is exactly why we filter by hold and finish instead of by format.

A cream or a lighter paste. Eufora's Molding Paste and Styling Mud, Davines' Styling Paste and Fiber Cream, DEPOT No. 303 Modelling Wax, or Lock Stock's Freestyl Protein Gel.
A pomade or a shine gel. Lock Stock's Original Pomade is the classic high-shine option, RICA's Crystal Pomade is the flexible one, and DEPOT No. 304 and Eufora's Firm Hold Gel both give shine with strong hold.
Hold is how firmly the style stays put. Finish is how much it shines. They're independent — a matte putty can be the firmest thing you own, and a high-shine pomade can be flexible. Most product disappointment comes from picking for one and being surprised by the other.
Something that adds body without weight — a texturizing powder like DEPOT No. 309 or Lock Stock's Volumatte, a thickening spray like Preptonic, or a volume spray before styling. Avoid heavy waxes and oil-based pomades, which flatten fine hair.
The same things anyone with curls should use. DEPOT No. 310 Curl Designer is built for it, and Davines' Fiber Cream works well on textured hair — but our full Curl + Texture range is where we'd send you first. Curl doesn't need a men's bottle, it needs curl products.
A hydrating shampoo and an actual conditioner. DEPOT No. 103 and Lock Stock's Recharge are both moisture cleansers. If the dryness is the main story rather than a side note, the Dry Hair + Hydration page has the full range.
Start by working out what actually changed — that's a different question from which product to buy. Fine hair, shedding, breakage and gradual density change are four different situations. Fine hair is a strand type — it's how your hair has always been, and it's about the diameter of each strand. Thinning is a change — fewer strands, or strands getting finer than they used to be. They feel similar and need different answers, which is why we keep them on separate pages.
Eufora's men's range — a concentrated hair and body shampoo, three scalp products, five styling products and a shave cream, built around their ProAmino Peptide Complex. Some product URLs on our site still carry a legacy hero prefix from an earlier version of the line; the range is called For Him.
RICA's scalp line within Opuntia Oil For Men — a shampoo and a daily leave-in Progressive Lotion, positioned by RICA as maintenance for thinning-prone hair. RICA describes the Progressive Lotion as the daily maintenance step rather than an intensive treatment, and we'd rather quote them than characterise it ourselves.
Not necessarily, but beard skin and scalp skin behave differently, so a beard-specific cleanser like DEPOT No. 501 does a more comfortable job. The alternative is a hair-and-beard shampoo — RICA and Davines both make one that their manufacturers state for both uses.
Beard oil softens the facial hair and conditions the skin underneath, which is where beard itch actually comes from. We only list products as beard oil when the manufacturer positions them for facial hair — a hair oil isn't automatically a beard oil, and we won't label it one.
Before: a pre-shave oil or emulsion to soften the beard and reduce friction. After: a balm or post-shave cream to settle the skin. DEPOT and RICA both make complete three-step rituals.
